It's Opening Day, Thank God

Tonight kicks off the official American opening day of our past time.  The Braves and Nats are playing in the Nats brand new stadium, not too shabby.  As I am seating here writing  lesson plans and watching baseball I cannot wait for 3:05 tomo when the Phillies kick off.  It is awesome to have baseball back and it looks so good on tv.  Several Philly trips will be made this summer to watch the greatest team ever to play.  Cannot wait for another NL East Championship year.

Tonight I made a life-long dream come true. With Anna sitting in the car, and the Spring wind at my face, I called my stopping point, and stopped the gas exactly on  $ 10. I have literally been trying to do this since I have started driving. Can anyone share my elation?

New Release Tuesday

It's On

yeah, yeah, yeah, there is some basketball tournament on the tube this weekend. The big news from yesterday is obviously the start of Spring football practice for my Carolina Gamecocks. This is the time of year that it best. The anticipation, the hope, the glory, the sunshine, the visor, etc. I cannot wait until April 19th to see the spring game . For today , I will post a picture of the new hope at RB, Eric Baker, and hippie QB Steve Garcia. Gamecocks win the SEC east this year you heard it here first. 

It's A Real Disease

On Making The Band 4, yeah I watch that sometimes, there was an outbreak of "bitchassness". I have officially fallen in love with this saying and so has the rest of America cuz Puff is making shirts with NO BITCHASSNESS on them. Check the Sean John website and scoop that shirt. This disease needs to end!

Cut Those Nets

It's the most wonderful time of the year, March Madness BAAABBY!  The NCCA Tournament is upon us and lucky for me three, count em, three philly teams have made the dance.  Let us start with Temple.  Temple is a 12 seed going up against Michigan St., a 5 seed.  Temple had a decent season in the A-10 but I don't think can hang with State.  Another A-10 team St. Joe's is dancing as well with an 11 seed.  The Hawks play Oklahoma a 6 seed.  With Phil on the side line anything can happen with the Hawks but with out Jameer Nelson or Delonte West I don't think they will get out of the first round.  Finally, Villanova made the dance as a 12 seed.  They are going up against a tough Clemson team who almost beat UNC in the ACC tourny.  Villanova out of all the philly teams I think has the greatest chance to move on but Clemson looks hot right now so fingers crossed.  Although I love philly and the college basketball my prediction for this tourny is going to have be Kansas.  They are a complete team and looked damn good against Texas.  Rock Chalk ya dig.

Ten Things I Think I Think- 3-9-08

Hello friends . Welcome strangers. This week has been as stressful as it has been fun. Beth was obviously in town for SB08 , which was eventful. 

1. SB08- awesome. I only hung out a few nights but still had a blast. Hooters, Causeway, and the Beachwagon. Perfect week ? Maybe. 

2. This new Yankee candle I'm smelling right now smells like heaven. Sparkling Lemon puts me in a good mood. Period. Keep your jokes to yourself. 

3. Nice to have Anna hanging out with us Friday night . Good weekend with my boo.

4. I am thrilled to be driving to Green Sea Floyds every day for my student teaching. On a positive note , I got paired with Preppy, a legend in the PE field already. Those kids are not ready for the dreamteam.

 

5. One more week of school before SB08 for me . I hate school with all of my heart. 

6. 10K training has gotten pretty intense. Nails refuses to eat anything but pasta, and insist I run in public. To that ugly girl that yelled at me while I was "running" down 544 the other day- you suck too . 

7. Saw Lee Brice last night live at the Beachwagon. He sold the place out . It was the first time it had ben sold out in more than 7 years. Pretty intense. CD drops May 6. 

8. Only one week until selection Sunday. Gots to love college hoops, but football season cannot get here soon enough. 

9. Pretty excited about this cold I have. No,  really it has produced some nice flem and misery this week. 

10. Shout outs to my cousin Paul, who will be a married man this time next week. Holy Cow Paul, we gotta go out this week.
