Net Gun

I obviously just got done watching the season premiere of Rob & Big and I remembered just how much I love those dudes.  However, they got a new toy this season and I am in need of one right about now.  This new toy I speak of is a net gun.  I have done some research and it looks to me like they are mainly used in China.  The police force there actually uses them to catch the bad guys.  Since I am not in China or a police officer there I am going to have to ask any readers of The Shoe Box, does anyone have a net gun willing to sell?  Cause I want that shit.

Episode 1 - Mystery Pooper

Northern Hospitality

After living in the south for several years now I have come accustom to the southern hospitality.  Holding doors, yes sir, yes ma'am, things of that nature.  So, when I witnessed what I saw today I was definitely taken back.  My dear friend Camp and I were driving through the beautiful Bellevue State Park to drop off his Christmas tree.  Luckily on this day we went to far and had to make a u-turn.  On our way back to the correct location to drop off the tree we came across a walking/running path that crossed the road.  There was a car in front of us that might have pulled up the cross a little to fast and close.  The runner who was walking across was not amused by this guys speed.  So, this dude(runner) decided to turn around and give this driver a wonderful snot filled spit.  It was like it was in slow motion.  I could not believe what I just saw.  Camp and I were both speechless.  I wish I had said something but I was in shock which then turned into full out laughter.  This obviously made my day and possibly my Christmas vacation.

College Football Recap

As predicted on The Shoe Box, LSU defeated Ohio State last night easily to become the first two loss team to win a national championship. More on that later , first lets have a bowl recap.
There were a lot of good match-ups. The Navy-Utah game was a nail biter, and one of the best match-ups of the bowl season. Please allow me to give props to Skip Holtz and the East Carolina Pirates for whipping up on Boise State . I do not like Boise, because they never play anyone , and they act like they are the best team on the planet. Yes they used 48 trick plays last year to beat a good Oklahoma team, but their antics this year were not even good enough to win the WAC . Go Pirates, and go Skip Holtz.

Texas destroyed a much weaker Arizona State team , but the ineresting part came when texas's head coach Mac Brown's son came on to the field and scooped up a dead ball. This negated a turnover that would have iced the game a lot earlier for the Longhorns. What an idiot. Mississippi State got a win over Central Florida, and I was glad to see the SEC get a win, but sad to see my boy LJ get beat. he played well, and as usual was the center of attention on camera. It was nice to see SC native Rodney Kinlaw have a great game for Penn State against Texas A&M.

When Auburn beat Clemson, I got a semi . My love for the SEC and my hatred for the Tigers made it a great day to be a Gamecock fan. The poor Tigers lost in overtime , and did not play well offensively. Shout outs to Aunt Myra , expect a new hat shortly ! Tennessee obviously beat Wisconsin, but suprisingly (to me at least) Missouri molested Arkansas. Darren Mcfadden played about as hard as a fat kid in the pee wee league . One inspired team was Michigan, who had no business beating a far better Florida team. Shout outs to my boy Junior Hemingway, from right here in Conway. As expected, USC beat an inferior Illinois in the Rose Bowl.

Hawaii proved they had no business with the big boys of the SEC. Georgia was playing as good as any one in the country at the end of the season, but don't forget who beat them in week 2 . I was surprised to see West Virginia beat Oklahoma, who is not doing so well in BCS games in this decade. Shockingly, Kansas beat a good Virginia Tech team, and even more surprisingly, they did it with defense. Finally, LSU handled the Buckeyes. Proving last year was no fluke, Ohio State again looked like they had their feet in the mud. "The number one defense in the country" was made to look like fools- again. When are voters going to realize Ohio State , and all other Big 10 schools cannot hold the jock of any SEC school.

Overall though, it was a good football season. For the first time , many schools showed the ability to win. In a season where App State beat Michigan ( Big 10 )(immature hand gesture ), Navy beat Notre Dame, and no one wanted to be number 2, mediocrity reigned. The days of one school dominance are over. On a personal note, the Gamecocks are looking up. At one point last year, the Gamecocks were number 6 in the country. Things went down hill from there and we lost the last 5 , but WHATEVER. The spring game is April 19. See you there.
