I know some of you fools out there are still looking for a present for your Valentine. Fortunatly for you jabronis, the Shoe Box is here to help. Can we suggest a coupon book, a home made card, flowers that are not roses ( cheaper, and more origional), candy ( chocolate you idiot), or in a worst case scenario, pick up a stray dog. It is important to know what NOT to do. Jewelery, Panties, and clothes are not okay if they did not come from Jewelery, Panty, or Clothing stores. Also, do not forget all of your Valentines. Call you mother, sister, nieces, etc, and tell them you love them on this the day of love. The picture you see if from our mentee to his girlfriend , Aaleeah ( yes that is how it's spelled ). The giver is an eighth grader, who also gave his girl $ 50 in cash, a card, and is going to "knock it out" tonight . Note the price tag on the fine 10 K gold.

Spring Is In The Air

For all you love birds today is the official day of love.  For me however it is the official start of the  Phillies, NL East Champs, spring training.  Last season J-Roll made a pretty bold prediction, calling us the team to beat.  His words held up as we won the NL East but immediately lost 3 straight playoff games to the Rockies.  With that taste of the playoffs I know that I could not wait for this day to come, a fresh start.  During the off season the Phillies have gotten rid of Rowand, Bourn, and a few others.  We have picked up Feliz, Jenkins, Lidge, and some other players that we do not need.  We do not need out fielders we need pitching and watching Santana go to the Mets was pretty disgusting.  Enough crying though, I love the Phillies and their stupid ways.  I am more excited than words can explain for this season.  GO PHILS.
