With all the recent songs about drink buying, getting low, and being tens I thought to myself what exactly is a shawty. I hear it all the time,especially now that I have been in the south for so long. I have even started to say it to get the ladies. So straight from the urban dictionary is the definition and how to use it properly. A term originating in Atlanta that, in the beginning, referred to a short person or child, but the span of the word has grown to include any and all people, especially a girl that is attractive; it is mostly used as a term of endearment to others or just a way of addressing someone. "Whuddup shawty when you coming over?"
